Oral Histories
June 1st, 2020
Gann teacher Alex Green has worked with students and independently for the last five years to collect oral histories on disability history relating to institutions and major movements in disability rights. In 2019, students interviewed former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis as well as two former inmates of the Fernald School and numerous staff who worked at the institution during its reform years. They also interviewed family members of individuals who are buried in the MetFern Cemetery. To share your story, reach out to us.
