Aided by a generous access grant from Ancestry.com along with support from the Massachusetts Office of Vital Records and Statistics, students pored through thousands of documents to find the contours of the lives of the people buried in the MetFern Cemetery. They uncovered census records, birth certificates, marriage licenses, immigration records, death certificates, and draft documents, which form the basis of the biographies on this website.
